Where we investigate what makes a good friend and embrace the kindness, inclusiveness and relationships we have within the AWIS school community.
Last week, we had a wonderful time celebrating Friendship Week across our school! It was a fantastic opportunity for our children to think about what it means to be a good friend and to celebrate the importance of kindness, inclusion and looking out for one another.
Throughout the week, the children took part in a variety of fun and creative activities. One of the highlights was our ‘Friendship Café’, where children had the opportunity to visit a different classroom, spend time with new friends, play games and simply enjoy a bite to eat together. It was lovely to see children making new connections and enjoying time together outside of their usual classrooms.
We also got creative with our very own Friendship Graffiti Wall, where children shared positive messages and ideas about friendship. Other activities included writing friendship poems, making friendship bracelets and many more exciting activities that encouraged children to celebrate what makes a great friend.
The week came to a wonderful end with a special Friendship Week Assembly. The children had the chance to share and celebrate some of the fantastic work they had completed throughout the week. To make the assembly even more special, everyone came dressed in their House colours, creating a wonderful atmosphere of community and togetherness.
