Beginning the new school year together

At our Parent Information Evenings our teachers shared key information about daily routines, school and classroom expectations, the curriculum and learning taking place this year.
It was wonderful to welcome our families into school for our Parent Information Evenings and to begin the new school year together.
The evenings provided parents with the opportunity to meet their child’s Class Teacher and other members of staff who will be working with their child throughout the year. Teachers shared key information about daily routines, school and classroom expectations, the curriculum and learning taking place this year, as well as how we communicate with families and who parents can contact if they have any questions or concerns.
It was also a valuable opportunity for parents to spend some time in their child’s classroom, meet other families and develop those important connections between home and school.
We were delighted with the positive feedback received following the evenings. 100% of parents who completed our feedback survey rated the presentation as informative, with 93% giving it the highest possible rating. All respondents also said that the information shared about routines, expectations and communication was either quite clear or very clear.
Building strong relationships with our families is incredibly important to us, so we were particularly pleased that 93% of respondents said the evening helped them feel more connected to their child’s class and the wider school community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to those who took the time to share their feedback afterwards. We understand that work, family commitments and other circumstances can make it difficult for all families to attend events in person, so the information from the evening has also been shared with parents who were unable to join us.
Your feedback helps us to continue reflecting on how we communicate and work in partnership with our families. We look forward to continuing to build these relationships throughout the year and working together to support our children to thrive.
