AWIS has received an excellent School Report Card for 2024–2025, confirming it as a high-performing school where students, parents and staff report very high levels of satisfaction.
Report Card Background
The School Report Card is produced each year by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education as part of the national school evaluation system and is issued for all government and private schools. It draws heavily on the Comprehensive Educational Survey, which gathers feedback from teachers, students, parents and school leaders to monitor quality and support continuous improvement.
For international schools like AWIS, the Report Card is published in English and allows direct comparison with the average results for all private schools in Qatar serving similar age ranges. It is issued annually, after the close of the academic year.
How the data is collected
The key indicators in the Report Card come from large-scale, anonymous questionnaires sent to students, teachers, parents and administrators across the country, ensuring that individual responses remain confidential.
These surveys cover areas such as teaching quality, behaviour and safety, curriculum, leadership, facilities and the overall school climate, and are combined with information on learning outcomes and international assessments.
For each question, the Ministry reports the percentage of respondents who give positive answers and compares the school’s results with the overall average for private schools, so strengths and priorities for development are easy to see.

The report card is attached in full below. However, some of the key highlights are:
Students’ views of AWIS
The 2024–2025 Report Card shows exceptionally high levels of student satisfaction at AWIS: almost all students say they are proud of their school, feel safe, and rate the overall atmosphere as positive and respectful, significantly above the private-school average.
Students report that classes in English, Mathematics and Science are enjoyable and that teachers actively involve them in lessons, with satisfaction scores at or close to 100% in many items.
The report also highlights that students see AWIS as a school that listens to their opinions, encourages participation in activities and reinforces strong moral and Islamic values.
Parents’ confidence in the school
Parents express very strong confidence in AWIS: satisfaction with the quality of the curriculum, teaching professionalism and overall quality of education is extremely high and clearly above the average for private schools.
The majority of parents say the school environment is positive and safe, that the school communicates effectively about students’ educational needs, and that the leadership takes parent feedback seriously.
High percentages also state that their children enjoy coming to school and that, in general, they are satisfied with AWIS as their chosen primary school in Qatar.
Staff perspectives and school culture
Teachers give AWIS outstanding ratings for the quality of school leadership, organisation of the working environment, safety and security procedures, and the overall quality of teaching and learning outcomes.
Satisfaction with professional development, recognition of strong practice and support from parents in students’ learning is also very high, reflecting a collaborative and professional culture.
Overall teacher pride and general satisfaction with working at AWIS stand at or near 100%, reinforcing the picture of a stable, committed and well-supported staff.
Learning environment, support and facilities
The Report Card confirms that AWIS offers a safe and welcoming learning environment, with students and parents rating behaviour expectations and the school’s discipline policy as fair and effective.
Levels of satisfaction with student services and homework practices are consistently above national private-school benchmarks.
No students reported significant issues with bullying.
Academic performance and international benchmarks
Alongside survey indicators, the Report Card reports AWIS performance in TIMSS 2023, where the school achieved high scores in both Mathematics and Science at Grade 4, well above the overall average for schools in Qatar. See our earlier blog post for a full breakdown of the TIMMS 2023 results for AWIS.
This external data supports earlier international results, such as PIRLS, and shows that AWIS is not only a happy school community but also one that delivers strong academic outcomes in core subjects.
Conclusions
The School Reprt Card shows the school to be a thriving learning environment, supportive of both students, parents and staff. In addition to excellent academic outcomes, it continues to live by its ethos of "an enjoyable, open and collaborative environment where children, their families and staff feel secure, valued, confident and independent. We work closely with our parents to forge a strong home/school relationship through effective communication to ensure the needs of students are consistently met."
For families seeking a British-curriculum primary school in Doha, the combination of high satisfaction and proven international achievement positions AWIS among the leading choices.
